What to Do on Some of the Best Beaches in the World...
You've heard of the book "1000 Places to See Before You Die." Along Alabama's Gulf Coast, we have our own unique list of "must try" things to do submitted by our visitors, and we're making it available to everyone. (As if you really need to know what to do on some of the best beaches in the world!) We want to hear about your favorite things to do on and around the beautiful white sand beaches of Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. Vote for any of the favorites shown here or submit a new favorite of your own. You can even send us pictures of you or your family doing your favorite thing on your most recent visit to Alabama's beautiful white sand beaches.

11. Sit in a low beach chair at the water’s edge and have the waves crash over you.
12. Snuggle up next to your spouse late at night on the balcony and watch the lightning over the gulf. It’s almost like you’re the only two people in the world.
13. Shrimp or oyster po'boys at The Shrimp Basket are a must!
14. Walk in the rain on the beach.
15. Don’t forget lunch at Desoto’s – the best food on the beach!

21. Take photos on the beach, near the dunes or on the rocks at the foot of Perdido Pass Bridge.

23. Watch the magnificent Gulf Coast sunrise and sunset.

27. Get a bird’s eye view of the brilliant blue water while parasailing.

29. The White Sands Silver Jewelry & Boutique shop in Orange Beach is a must.  They have a great little shop with some great silver pieces, artwork and handbags.
30. Lay in the sugar white sand at night and count UFO's
31. Ride the Ferris wheel at The Wharf.
32. Everyone must eat at Big Red’s at Zeke’s Down Under at least once.
33. Bury yourself in the sand at night
34. Eat at Bayside Grill.
35. Eat at Bahama Bobs for a fantastic sandwich or seafood delight.
36. Eat at Lester's on Canal Road.
37. Don't forget about eating at Hope's Cheesecake. Yummy!
38. Body surf the waves.
39. Laser tag at Adventure Island!
40. Eat dinner and watch the sunset from JB's at Holiday Harbor Marina
